WEATHERFORD – Southwestern Oklahoma State University put the finishing touches on its last tune up for its upcoming Great American Conference debut with a 101-66 victory over visiting Dallas Christian Monday night in Weatherford. The win improved the Bulldogs to 8-1 and gives them some added momentum heading into Thursday’s GAC road game against Henderson State.

SWOSU coach Charlie Schaef played all 15 players in the romp and all but two scored. Chase Elliott had 14 points and Filip Toric added 13 as SWOSU had five players reach double-figure scoring. The game was the first time this season that SWOSU has scored over 100 points in a game.

Also scoring in double figures for SWOSU was Zack Howe with 12, Thomas Davis with 11 and Marin Zelalija with 10.

The Bulldogs attempted half of their 71 attempts from three-point range. SWOSU canned 14-of-35 attempts for a percentage of 40 percent. Howe was four-for-nine while Toric connected on all three of his long-distance attempts.

Dallas Christian, which dressed only five players, was led by Roderick Johnson with 18 points.

SWOSU outrebounded the Crusaders 39-28 with Aleksa Rovic leading the Bulldogs in the category with seven. The Bulldogs did well protecting the ball as they handed out 29 assists while committing only 11 turnovers.
