Basketball Looks Good In Exhibition

Southwestern Oklahoma State University makes easy work of visiting Southern Nazarene with a 71-54 win. The Bulldogs will play their second exhibition game Thursday at Texas Tech at 7 p.m.

Flip Toric helped SWOSU to an exhibition game victory over Southern Nazarene
The Bulldogs will play one more exhibition game Thursday at Texas Tech University. The game will be broadcast on KWEY 95.5 FM with John Liddle providing the commentary. SWOSU returns home for the season opener on Friday, Nov. 11 against Lincoln University.
Chase Elliott had 12 points and Dominick Cornelius added 11 as the Bulldogs emptied the bench against the visitors. All 16 players who dressed played and 10 of them scored.
SWOSU had double-digit lead 10 minutes into the game when Marin Zelalija sunk a three-pointer to put the Bulldogs up 25-14. The margin doubled again and reached 21 at the break with the Bulldogs leading 45-24.
SWOSU’s biggest lead was 25 early in the second half when Aleksa Rovic drilled a three-pointer at the 16:50 mark to make it 59-24.
SWOSU ended the game making 46 percent of its shots on 27-of-59 attempts. SNU managed just 39% making 15-of-39 attempts.
The teams were even on rebounds with each squad pulling down 35. Flip Toric and Elliott each had six to lead SWOSU in that category.
